How to setup remote desktop in Windows



Only a PC loaded with XP PRO on a network which allows remote desktop connections can be accessed remotely. It is called a HOST.

On host machine, go to System Properties, Remote Tab, check "Allow users to connect remotely to this computer" and click OK. Write down host name (Full Computer Name in System Properties, Computer Name). Enable RDC (Remote Desktop Connection in Windows Firewall).

On remote computer: Go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, Communications, Remote Desktop Connection.Click Connect, fill in User Name and Password and click OK.
